Making the cover of my short comic, Pu-Lo. I wanted the cover to be simple, straightforward but intriguing as possible, focusing on the main character while still keeping an air of mystery to the story. I also went a bit experimental especially on the title, making it a seamless pattern for the background. A lot of these design sensibilities were inspired by the works of Katsuhiro Otomo and Satoshi Kon.
Pu-Lo tells a story of a guy that was transported to another world dominated by oceans and many islets scattered throughout. He tries to survive by seeking the help of the world's inhabitants, a high-tech tribal population, and their solarpunk weapons and vehicles.
